About

This is the personal blog of Huw Leslie, a seventeen-year-old from London, UK.

I’ve been blogging since January 2006; I used to edit GizBuzz, and I am a co-founder of Oratos Media. After the recent implosion of blognation, for which I had been working from June - December 2007, I am currently a ‘free agent’ of the blogosphere.

Other than blogging, I am doing my A-Levels in English, History, Religious Studies and Music at the moment. I do a lot of music, particularly singing; I’m in NYCGB and seem to spend my life either singing to myself or to an audience. I’m not sure what I want to do as a career, but journalism is looking pretty likely. Other options include law and maybe ultimately politics. Or depending on how my voice develops, I might try and become a professional singer.

So why a personal blog? Not necessarily to write what I had for breakfast everyday, because that’s not interesting to anyone (although since this was originally written, I have got very into Twitter (add me) - hasn’t everyone?). I have found that this blog gives me freedom to write about whatever I want, rather than having to blog within a focussed niche. The point of this blog is not to make money or to shamelessly self promote myself, which means that when I do write here, I write because I want to rather than because I feel I ought to.
